The first monster we look at is the Turbina XL Brushed Steel Damp 84 inch ceiling fan. This fan is a budget 84 incher, but it still comes in a very nice brushed steel finish. The pitch of the blades are 15 degrees too. It is specifically UL listed for damp environments, so that’s where it really shines. It’s also recommended that the ceiling is at least 10 feet high.

The fan also includes a 6″ downrod. One really nice feature is that this 84 inch ceiling fan comes with a hand held remote control. This allows you to sit back and enjoy the cooling that the Turbina provides.

So you’re no longer messing around. You’re looking for the biggest and the best commercial ceiling fans. You’re looking for a fan that could inflate a Macy’s day parade balloon in twelve minutes flat. A fan that you could make into a helicopter if you’re trapped in your business when the apocalypse happens. Nine blades, adjustable speeds, stainless steel blades and assembly, this heavy duty fan blows hard. Its footprint is pretty massive, but if you’re looking for a fan like this, that shouldn’t be an issue. This was one of the largest CFM ceiling fan that we could find.

Where to best use it? Large back rooms, warehouses, shipping areas. Anywhere with lots of smoke, smells, or fumes that need to be cleared out quickly and efficiently. Large retail spaces or meeting areas where lots of people can meet that needs decent ventilation. Any large space that needs to have a high rate of ventilation or airflow, to put it simply. These fans are massive and can move a lot of air, so they aren’t recommended for any ceilings below fifteen feet or so. These fans are heavy duty so any use in an area large enough for then they will excel in performing in, but the price tag certainly reflects that. These are definitely on the high end of the price scale, but the quality and effectiveness certainly reflects that.

The next big ceiling fan is the TroposAir Titan. This fan comes with a potential airflow of 9325 CFM which is big. It’s energy efficiency is also 303 CFM/W which isn’t too bad. This fan comes with 6 blades with a super efficient DC motor. The fan can also be operated with 6 different speeds which makes things convenient. It can also spin in reverse which is good for the colder months. This fan is also an indoor and outdoor ceiling fan, and is also rated for damp conditions.

The TroposAir Titan 84 inch fan also comes with a remote control. This ceiling fan also comes with an integrated light, but comes with a light cover if you don’t want to use it (which is very curious…) I personally love the look of this fan. The meta finish with the smooth metal plates near the base of each blade really give it a modern look. The black version also looks stunning.

The reviews for this fan are also quite positive. Customers love the modern look too, and they claim it’s also quite and that it does an amazing job of moving air around the room. One downside of this fan is that the integrated light perhaps isn’t strong enough for the large area that the fan can operate in, but this obviously depends on the room. Customers also like that the fan is light. The shipping weight is only 30 pounds (Aluminium blades anyone!?) which is great for industrial ceiling fans.

The Fanimation 84 inch ceiling fan is by far my personal favourite of the commercial ceiling fans. The Odyn, knows it’s the boss whenever it enters a room. Its magnificence commands immediate attention and will surely dazzle onlookers. The Odin’s DC motor allows this fan to consume up to 70% less energy. It comes in a brushed nickel finish with black blades and an oil-rubbed bronze finish with walnut blades. The Odin has an 84 inch blade sweep and operates on six forward and reverse speeds. The fan includes a remote control and a cap for use without light.

I think the coolest thing about it is just its sheer look. It looks ultra modern and has LED lights which is a very nice touch. It looks like the Apple products of ceiling fans.

Reviewers rave about how quiet it is too. The fan also satisfies customers with how much air it moves about. One customer claims that it is “Basically the best ceiling fan ever made!” It can be self installed and the customer is happy with the easy-to-follow instructions. One critique that customers had was the plastic blades for the price tag, but other customers also said that once installed, the material that the blades were made from were indistinguishable from other materials.

This 72” Casa ceiling fan can provide as much air movement and circulation as two smaller units, all while taking up a singular footprint. This is one of the larger commercial ceiling fans. The only downside comes at the size, since the diameter of the fan requires quite a lot of clearance over the others on this list. If you’re consolidating your ceiling space, this is the one you’ll want to consider.

It squarely sits in the higher end of the mid range price category, even though it lacks some features others have. What it does lack in specs, it does make up for in appearance though. If you’re looking for something pleasant to the eye and don’t care too much about an extra speed setting, this is the fan you’ll want to look at.

Where would this work best? Large spaces. Retail, office, warehouses, anywhere that needs a lot of air moved. The manufacturer says the blades are to be at least 10 feet off the ground but can be efficient up to 30 feet. So it’s also useful for spaces with higher than normal ceilings, such as large warehouses or retail spaces without a drop ceiling. Spaces with limited ceiling space due to construction or layout can also make use of these fans due to the ability to move lots of air over several separate units.

This one ups the blade length and surface area a bit and the motor strength, allowing for even more air movement. It also includes multiple settings, including conveniently, a reverse function. While it might not seem like much, a reverse function can be a lifesaver and offer a much better range of use. Not only will it offer a better choice for cooling, the reverse function can also aid greatly in ventilation, making it useful in warehouse or manufacturing environments where chemicals or overwhelming smells are present, or in an environment where heat needs to be syphoned out rapidly, such as manufacturing areas, anywhere motors run most of the time, or cooking and baking areas.

Where would this fan work the best? Smaller warehouse or manufacturing areas with ceilings on the mid-level range, about ten to twenty feet are the perfect environment. Larger open floor office or commercial spaces, including large open floor retail spaces. With the reverse function and it being moisture resistant, it could also be successfully used in indoor greenhouses or workshops where moisture is a constant.

The moisture resistance can also be useful in delivery areas or areas where a lot of steam would be present. The reverse function is also a big advantage to remove heat from an area, so anywhere with a lot of machinery, running equipment, or pretty much anything that puts off a lot of heat. The price puts it squarely in the midrange category, which even for a midrange fan it has a lot of features not present on even more expensive models. This is one of the smaller, industry standard commercial ceiling fans of choice for a lot of smaller, budget minded individuals. Nice fast motor, moderate blade size, and able to move a lot of air fairly quickly. It offers adjustable speeds for even more control, and includes a 5 speed switch. Installation is a breeze, but the manufacturer recommends at least 10 feet of clearance between the blades and the floor. While it is rated for industrial uses, it can also be used for commercial settings, or some residential use. This is the standard variety fan, and it’s perfect for upgrading existing hardware while not breaking the bank to do it. As it is the lower price model, the fan will reflect that somewhat, but it’s still a great starter fan for a space.

Where would utilize this fan the best? Retail storefronts, small shops, and smaller retail spaces would be a great fit, as it’s a smaller space where comfort and ventilation is key. A larger, open floor office space could also make use of several of these efficiently, to help with circulation in such a large space and ease the stress on a central AC unit. These would also be great for outside seating areas, patios, or breezeways. I personally wouldn’t recommend these for larger backroom or warehouses spaces since they aren’t super powerful, but if it’s a space on the small end of the spectrum, a couple of them would work in a pinch.
