The VES 60-inch is a white, J-hook-mounted AC ceiling fan built for humid shops, barns and covered patios, with polymer blades and a listing that claims a 90 W draw and continuous duty up to 105°F. It publishes no airflow figure.

What works

  • 2-year warranty
  • Impact- and corrosion-resistant polymer blades
  • J-hook mount with an 18-inch downrod, 24-inch safety cable and 24-inch extra lead wires included
  • Reversible airflow for summer cooling and winter heat recirculation

What doesn't

  • No documented CFM rating; confirm airflow before buying
  • No published CFM, speed count, weight or sound level
  • Speed control is sold separately
  • Moisture resistant for covered spaces, not rated for rain

Who it's for

Good fit

  • Warehouses, shops and barns with ceilings over 15 feet, the space the listing targets
  • Humid or dusty covered spaces where painted-metal blades would corrode
  • Hot buildings where the fan runs all day, given the listing's continuous-duty rating

Look elsewhere if

  • Open patios or anywhere rain reaches the fan; the listing says it is not rated for direct water contact
  • Buyers who need a published CFM to size a space
  • Anyone expecting speed control in the box; the VES wall control is sold separately

Why it stands out

The VES 60-inch is built like a shop fan, not a living-room fan. It hangs from a J-hook with an 18-inch downrod and a 24-inch safety cable, and it uses polymer blades that the listing says will not warp, crack or rust in humid air. The motor is single-phase 120V AC. The listing claims 90 watts and 0.70 amps, reversible airflow, and continuous operation in ambient heat up to 105°F.

That is the profile you want over a hot barn aisle, a dusty shop or a covered patio. What VES does not publish is airflow: there is no CFM, no speed count and no weight on the listing.

What to know before you buy

  • Ceiling height: the listing aims it at ceilings over 15 feet. It is not a fan for a standard room.
  • Mounting: hang the J-hook from framing rated for the fan, not from a light-fixture box, and tie the included safety cable to structure as well. The weight is not listed, so read it off the carton.
  • Location: moisture resistant for covered spaces only. Keep it out of direct rain.
  • Controls: budget for the VES wall-mount speed control, sold separately.

How it compares

  • J&D CF60A 60-inch: the closest match. Another 60-inch indoor/outdoor fan, UL507 per its title, with a reversing switch and a corrosion-resistant powder coat. Its listing claims 9,415 CFM. Pick it if you want an airflow number.
  • Big Air ICF72UPS 72-inch: step up to 72 inches and Maxx Air's documented 10,200 CFM on 35 W, with a six-speed remote included. It has no published damp rating, so it belongs indoors.
  • No structure to hang from? A wall-mount industrial fan covers a work zone from the wall instead.

Bottom line

The VES 60-inch is a rugged, humidity-tolerant fan for covered work spaces, with clear electrical figures but no airflow rating. Add the speed control to your order, or choose the J&D CF60A if a CFM number matters more than the J-hook build.

Verdict

Buy the VES 60-inch if you want a tough, J-hook-hung AC fan for a humid shop or covered barn aisle and do not need a rated CFM. Skip it if you want a controller in the box or an airflow number; the J&D CF60A's listing claims 9,415 CFM at the same span.

Questions people ask

How much air does the VES 60-inch fan move?
The listing does not give a CFM figure. It gives the motor's draw instead: 90 watts and 0.70 amps on 120V.
Can the VES 60-inch be used outdoors?
Under cover only. The listing calls it moisture resistant for covered porches, patios and sunrooms and says it is not rated for direct rain or water contact.
Does it include a speed control?
No. The listing says it pairs with the VES wall-mount speed control, which is sold separately.
How is the VES 60-inch mounted?
From a J-hook, with an 18-inch downrod and a 24-inch safety cable included. The weight is not listed, so anchor the hook and the cable to framing rather than a light-duty box.

What could it cost to run?

This uses the listed 90 W power draw. The example below assumes 8 hours a day, 250 days a year, at $0.16 per kWh. Change the assumptions for your utility rate and schedule.

$29estimated electricity cost per year

This is an energy estimate, not a bill. Draw can vary by speed, supply voltage, controls, and the fan's actual load.
